Hunminjeongeum

Hunminjeongeum is a writing system created by King Sejong in 1443 and promulgated in 1446.
Today it is known as 'Hangeul'.
By creating an easy-to-learn writing system to replace complex Chinese characters,
It was designed to improve literacy among the common people.
In 1997, the Hunminjeongeum Haeryebon was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage, and the Haeryebon displayed in the store is the work of a craftsman designated as an Intangible Cultural Property.
